The "Madonna with the Carnation" has been carefully examined using all the methods of art technology currently available. The results that have emerged are new and exciting. A second part of the exhibition is dedicated to technological aspects which make it clear that Leonardo da Vinci was a trailblazer for following generations of artists, not only in broad artistic terms but also in painting technique. A catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition. In addition to the artist's biography, visitors will be shown the creative process behind "Madonna with the Carnation", illustrated by means of a copy executed with historical painting techniques.
