The last part of the exhibition focusses on the making of the cycle: Not only the unusual support but also the "encaustic" paintig technique is discussed in the light of the contemporary discussion on wall painting. The severe damages sustained during the World War II, the restoration history and the new installation of the present Rottmann Room are also shown. The rich illustrated catalogue included all 23 paintings will serve as a lasting monograph of the work.
